Hello! Can anyone shed any light on what this means? "The distaldescending colon and sigmoid has collapsed"

The distal descending colon is the section on your left side, from the bend under your ribs down to the rectum. The sigmoid is the last part of this. If it has collapsed it might be caused by a blockage higher up. Ask your Gastro doc or nurse to explain! Hope it's temporary.
