Im just about to start week 4, each run I get a pain in the arch of my left foot. I bought my trainers from a specialist shop where they checked you out on the treadmill first. I do a lot of walking (10 miles+) no pain at all. As soon as I stop the pain goes.. its going less with each run but what is the cause? Plantar fasciitis suggests permanent heel pain and arch.

Have you been back to the running shop, it could be that your shoes are not quite right and may need a different insole in just the left shoe. My gait is neutral so I can't think what else it could be. Hope you get it sorted soon though.
