Did week 9 run1 last week, but have had to rest this week due to a groin strain - and it's doing my head in. I love running in the rain and I'm getting a bit impatient to doing my graduation run. It's only getting worse if I run through the pain so until it's better I'm going to have to deal with it.

Just don't want to lose fitness now I've built it up!!

Dont fret - it will make that W9R3 run all the more sweeter! Good luck and bide your time. :)

Totally with you on this.

Did first run in 10 days following a groin strain..was absolutely certain had lost all my fitness but actually, once my legs remembered what running was , and all the aches and pains from not running had sorted themselves out it was fine.

Managed 5k, which is normal run 1 of the week for me.

Please don't worry, you'll be fine, and please don't run until you have had at least 2 days pain free.

GypsyDepp is right on.

I think you'll be surprised about how little you lose if you take a week or so out. Certainly much less than if you keep going and make it worse and have to have a

longer lay off ;-)

Take it easy for a few days, keep it loose though maybe some walks just to keep the blood flowing. You'll be straight back into it though.

Thanks Guys,

Will leave it a bit longer, and not attempt a run until im back to normal.

Also, not sure about all this Gait analysis before buying new trainers, is there something in it which might avoid injuries, or is it just sales bluff.
