Afternoon everyone,
After a 6 week break, I restarted couch to 5K from week 5 (having reached week 5 run 3 previously to this) and today finally completed week 5 run 3!
I think what helped was repeating some of the earlier runs (week 5 run 1 x3 and then week 5 week 2) to get back into the "zone" so to speak. I also recently re joined the gym and definitely think doing some strength training has helped too. Today, I was going to repeat week 3 run 2, but on a whim thought, why not try the third run? I also saw an opportunity to sneak in a run during an otherwise busy day and decided to head out. In other words, I think (hope) I'm starting to seize the moment and not put it off until tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow...
I also jogged at a fairly slow, but constant pace. It's been said before and Jo Whiley kept on repeating the same mantra: slow down. I must admit, it helps and makes what seems like a monumental task much more manageable.
What other exercise do other members do beside the running and how do you think it helps?
Onto week 6 then.
Have a good weekend!
