Well I am proberly the last to find this out........ For people who are doing Strength training with weights or using weights and exercise machines at the gym. If you use a Garmin for your running and have Connect on your phone you can use the watch by selecting the Strength activity. The watch will recognise and record the number of reps of an exercise such as a Bench Press. A timer for rest kicks in between Sets. Garmin Connect gives you a record, you can edit to put in the value of the weights. A figure back and front is displayed (see pic) with the muscles that the exercises target.

My old watch is a Fr245 but I would think that this Activity is on most if not all Garmin watches. So now I have a record of my Running plus the Strength training.

that’s intriguing! I don’t have a garmin, but this adds to the temptation of getting one! Good to know.

Must admit I rely on my watch to feed me audio pace and distance info to my bone conduction head phones via Bluetooth. Advantage is you don't have to look at the watch during running.
