so I’ve completed couch to 5k twice now but these past few months I’ve found it so hard to get out there. I suffer from a few illnesses and fatigue is really kicking me at the moment. I just can’t seem to keep to a plan, I’ve been really busy seeing family.
Due to illness little things like that really do (even going shopping) take it out of me and the change in weather (grey and raining) has really effected my mood
I feel my mental health is slipping into a bad place (I have CPTSD) and I’ve been fighting to get therapy for a long time and it looks like that may be happening soon. I really need my mind and body to get healthier but I’m just so exhausted and fatigued.
If anyone has any advice or tips I’d very much appreciate it
Happy running everyone!

Hopefully you can start to go out again with some 'no pressure' outings. Lace up and go out and see what happens. If you walk, run walk or run, it doesn't matter. It'll be time for you and your wellbeing and being out there. 1 min, 10 mins or more, if you can be out there then it's half the battle 😊 I always say that discipline beats motivation and you deserve time for yourself. List all of the things running gives you (fresh air, time alone, mental health, choice of run or route etc) and keep it somewhere. This may help give you a little nudge every now and then too.
I don't know what will work for you in your situation as I'm no expert but when I was feeling exhausted and after illness I had a chat with my GP and I was low in iron and Vitamin D and I wasn't getting enough sleep. So it depends on the reasons why you're fatigued I suppose. Maybe a chat with your GP? maybe some gentle walks to start, just for pleasure and to get out? Hope you sort it out and you're feeling better soon.
