Nearly there 😃

In 2017 I graduated and then hurt my knee. After attempting to return to running a few times, I gave up. Fast forward to Summer 2022, I’d lost weight, knee issue gone (orthotics - for hyper mobility) and started a strength programme. I felt it was time to give it a go again. I have loved it this time - and apart from a little Covid break I have managed each week in turn. I’ve really enjoyed being out and about in nature and also catching up with people again on the forum. Thanks to Oldfloss for her constant support and encouragement! #slowandsteady #runningrocks #runner

Well done to you AngeScott on returning to running after a few times of giving up, I think that strength program helped a lot for your return, glad that you are enjoying the company of the runners on this forum, especially Oldfloss for her constant support to you and other runners.

Hello !!!

This is so lovely to have you here with us again:)

I know just how hard you have worked to get back here again. Your determination and courage has carried you though some very tough times...! Some folk would be forgiven for having given up.

Not you... and you had Covid twice I think...It has been wonderful that you have enjoyed this so much and experienced the joy of running outside... especially in this late Autumn sunshine!

You are so close to that podium again... and I think I need to give you your first Graduation badge too! There won't be another one I am afraid, but we will all be waiting at the finish line to cheer you home!

Now you are here, please do stay around x

Welcome back.

It is so easy to think that just doing the running will develop our bodies, but the whole process can be speeded up considerably by doing extra strength work.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Well done on returning to running. Leg injuries can sometimes take a long time to heal because despite the injury one still has to walk every day.
