…so there’s a first time for everything, it seems! I am doing Samarathon 2022 and due to being ill most of last week and then the heat preventing me running (I don’t do hot and humid), my miles tally is way down.

if I didn’t have my sponsors to answer to I wouldn’t have done it but off I went, Week 8 run 2. 7.15am. There was shade in much of the park and it felt pleasantly warm. Me, a couple of other runners and a myriad of dog walkers.

It turns out 28 minutes is five times round the park, the tiny hill felt OK each time today and I covered just over 2 miles.

A nice element to today as well as the fresher air was my pace was my best ever at 13 mins per mile. I had a look at my nearest park run and this would put me next to last at the moment. It must be a quick crowd! Also if I were only to run for 30 mins there would also be some walking and I really don’t know which is faster at the moment, so I guess my pace would be a minimum of 40mins for 5K. Further park runs are much bigger and they do have plenty of people around my pace and slower but I fancy the smaller, nearer one. Tricky decision.

Anyway, I just enjoyed a nice run report from a fellow site user so I hope this waffle from me is OK too!

That's a great cause to run for. I enjoyed your post. I like to read what other runners are up to. 😀

What a great reason to run, your park run time would be my fastest ever 5k time and I only managed that once 😂

My own run write-ups here are rarely short! (But nowadays I post them on the Bridge to 10K forum instead of here.)

It might have been yours I saw. Very detailed description of what you passed.
