Does it matter that I am running quite slow, well I feel I am?

Dosent matter in the slightest!

It's the best way to develop your running fitness .

This program is not about speed or distance .

Just about time spent in the process of running/jogging .

In fact running at a conversational pace is what's going to improve your aerobic base , not running fast

Running slowly makes faster runners 😁

Slow no such thing as running slow there’s running and running and you just ran for 25 minutes πŸ‘

There is absolutely nothing saying you need to rival Mo Farrah or Paula Radcliffe by the end of this.

You're doing this for you.

The time you're active for is far more important than how fast you're going.

You are right, I would rather run slow and finish it then go at a fast pace and burn myself out πŸ˜€

Great job. Weird how the time expands or contracts depending on how the run is going. Congratulations on pushing on.

Congratulations to you neets00 on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs, not long now until you graduate.

Well done and congrats going into week 7 - take it slow the finish line is in reach.

Well done neets00 I know the feeling of last few minutes hahaha. Some days you will feel you can do a few more minutes after those last minutes too.Dont worry about slow or fast, just maintain a conversational pace. When I start worrying about it, I immediately turn my thoughts to how far I have come from not ever being a runner to being able to run 20mins straight, then 25, then 30 and so on.

Keep it up πŸ‘

Well done for running continuously for 25 minutes.Running a mile at 8 minutes or 18 minutes is still running a mile.

The way I look at being slow is do you want to be a runner or a jogger? Jogging in my opinion is what your doing now, a nice steady pace progressing to a longer distance. With running you would also be progressing to a faster pace.

Once you finish the c25k it might be a bit more clearer which path you want to go down.

Personally, I like running 5k without feeling like I'm going to collapse. Time doesn't matter to me but once I'm fully comfortable at running 5k I will gradually work my way up to 10k.

I definitely like my pace at the moment which is definitely a jog πŸ˜€ however during the last minute I really try and step up the pace. At the end of week 7 will be interesting.. blimey 3 x 25 minutes .. ok bring it on πŸ‘Š

You will be surprised at how the course has trained your body by the end of it. I never imagined I would be able to run for a full 30 minutes when I first started the course and now I'm doing 2 5ks a week, and to top it off I enjoy doing them rather than it being a chore!

Well done you πŸ‘, 2 5ks a week is fab. I am also doing strength training in-between the run days to help
