I feel like I have chalked up one in the plus column today – Week 5 run 3 successfully completed.
It was still just dark when I left home, with a beautiful bright moon; happily the wind had dropped off from last night.
It seemed like I got through the first fifteen minutes relatively easily but it definitely got harder in the last quarter. Even so, I felt like I had a little bit left in the legs at the end, so I must have been pacing it reasonably well. I expect I will know about it later on.
By a curious coincidence ‘Steady as she goes’ came onto the music mix, just as Laura finished telling me it was time to start running. This was followed up by U2 with ‘Beautiful day’ as I was walking in!
The runs are starting to feel a little bit easier, and a door might just be beginning to open. I see from the weather forecast that there is another storm coming in tomorrow, just as well I will be resting.

Thank you Instructor57. My colleagues in the office are probably thinking I am unusually cheerful today!I will look out for the next one and take it carefully.
The start of any run for any runner is known as the Toxic Ten, explained here healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and is why there is little point in pushing hard at the start.
Thank you IannodaTruffe. I will take a look at this.Last week Laura kept telling me to look out for side stitches. Not had any yet but I dare say it will happen eventually.
