Hi guys as the title says I’m trying to beat my demons! After having a breakdown at Xmas, I struggled with life and didn’t know where the future was taking me, when I got signed off work at Xmas the weight piled on, 3 stones of it! My anxiety was through the roof and confidence at a low , then I found couch 2 5k and what a difference my life has been! I’m on week 6 and loving it and never thought I would of come this far! It’s really helped my anxiety and my confidence has definitely improved 😁so if I can do it anyone can!

Congratulations on getting to week 6 of C25K, well done on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, once runners complet that run, it's only about 4 weeks until they graduate, once you have completed week 6 run 3 you are OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards πŸƒπŸΎ πŸ‘

Oh wow! Congratulations on not only bouncing back back really taking life by the horns! I understand from my own personal battles just how much strength and resilience it takes to pick yourself back up when feeling that way and agree this programmes is really great for helping you push through both physical and emotional walls! Keep going!

Well done! I feel my own running has helped keep me on an even keel in the last year, even if it's just been a little focused "me time" every few days.

I really cannot say how happy I am to see you on here. We are a friendly and supportive bunch that will encourage you in every way possible, so tell us everything and ask us anything! Shout and scream at us and tell us all about the good runs too.Do you run alone, or does your pooch run with you? Mine doesn't as she would still be sniffing at the start line when I got back!!

Take care and please, do keep posting!!

Well Carol Anne, thank you for sharing your story which is a success story even before Graduating. I ofton wonder how many people who rely on antidepressants could find the same improved mental health just by embarking on C25k. The more that hear stories such as yours the better.Best wishes for continued 'healing' as you run; perhaps you'll update us again when you feel you've made even more progress - as it's very likely you will. ☺️

Welcome to the forum Carolann69 well done on your progress.

This post is essential for those new to the programme and returning after a break, it includes hydration, knee and leg strengthening exercises and stretching after a run, all on which will help.

Enjoy your journey
