Geez! Almost quit after the 5 minute mark, then just before the 12½-minute mark, then at the 12½- minute mark, then at the 20-minute mark, then at the 24-minute mark, then I bolted the final minute before quitting. The 5 minute cool down walk was the best feeling in the world. Okay, this was the end of a very long day. Straight to bed, no run this morning, let's see how a repeat of this final run of week 7 at 03h30 on Monday goes.
W7R2 Why, I ask, why?: Geez! Almost quit after... - Couch to 5K
W7R2 Why, I ask, why?
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
This post expands on the theme. healthunlocked.com/couchto5.....
Hey you did it, you found the strength to carry on and then a bolt at the end.. You obviously left a bit in the tank. Enjoy your next run.
Great stuff, you carried on and finished what you set out to do. Well done 💪
Lol because you can!!! Well done BigL, you nailed it 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️.
Another run under your belt BigLebowski 👍 I felt exactly the same after that run (hence the rather miffed post!) but run 3 yesterday wasn't too bad at all.
Week 8, Run 1 tomorrow, another three minutes added on, so we'll see...... Oh, and it definitely won't be at 330am 😮😮 you're one tough rude
Well done you too. W7R3 at 03h30 this morning was good for me. It was easier after a two-sleep recovery not to mention the post-sleep numbness. If pushed, I think I could have handled another 3 minutes this morning. It's tougher to run after work where one slumber only, tonight separates runs, which is what I face tomorrow for W8R1.
I agree about morning running. I'm too tired after a nine hour day at my age to feel particularly motivated. I'm just off now for Ron one of week eight - I'll check back in after 😁
Awesome you... you went through that mental barrier, that one that says " I really can't be arsed to do this today", even though you've got your running kit on, and then the inner you persevered and said to yourself "come on, keep going, don't stop. Slow and steady, breath... I bet you feel so much better for it though? And importantly, you go out and were active!
