Just started doing Couch to 5k (am repeating first week) and have been doing a 2-3 hour walk once a week for a year now. Only issue is that I’ve had aches in shins (expected) and a tingling pain in my left hip (very unexpected). I started this very unfit so I knew I’d probably have some twinges but I can’t even sleep on my left side. Any ideas? Google keeps saying it might be a pinched nerve. Did think it was a bit trivial to take to the doctor.

Aches and Pains
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
Just try slowing it all down so that you can speak aloud clear ungasping sentences as you run, and see if that clears the issue. If it persists, consult your doctor.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
I would def give the GP a ring for advice if the pain is so bad that you can’t sleep on that side. And we are at the same point on c25k. I’m on week 1 run 2 today! Graduated last year in august but dropped the running for the walking I do in work, but am greedy for the running endorphins I had last time so starting again. I will keep an eye on your progress as we go along. Good luck xx
Thanks Slowpoke (it feels wrong calling you that!) yeah I’ve been struggling with anxiety so I thought I’d try running to help and it really does. I am terrible at it, and will likely repeat the first week, but the endorphins are amazing. Xx
Yeah anxiety is a b*stard fair play x keep on keeping on x
