I started c25k for the second time (1st attempt in 2018 ditched on w2) in Nov last year.
Then I got Covid so gave it a rest (an accidental longer than I meant to , oh the couch is too comfy rest)
Started W4 this week and could not finish it,
Attempt 1 it was too hot and my legs just would not finish the 2nd 3min and 5min runs but I was very proud I ran the first 5 min section.
Attempt 2 was thwarted by bad clothing choices and abandoned after half of the first 5 min Run.
Attempt 3 was this morning and I'm so absolutely proud of myself for finishing the whole run. I kept thinking slow down just slow down and I did feel like people were staring at my snail like pace but I did it!!!!! I've never run that long before and I need to celebrate because this is huge for me
My brain now knows body can do it so when we attempt again it should be a breeze.

Good for sticking with it, there will be good ones when you think you've cracked it and then rubbish ones for no reason. It's all 🤷♀️ to me. Just stay with the plan as much as possible, and your stamina will slowly improve and then suddenly you see the difference between when you started and how much you've improved! Another run is another run. No matter how slow, You are always running faster than sitting on that couch 😜🤗
Well done on persevering and completing your run! 👏 Apart from getting some exercise, you'll learn something from bad runs (and there could be just random bad runs for no reason too, like voldatort said!)
Attempt 1- maybe you were dehydrated? You could also finding a cooler time of day to run too.
Attempt 2- oh yes I've had some bad runs dressed in too many layers!🤪
Attempt 3 - you had the mental strength to finish and maybe everything else was good. Wahoo!
And hey, don't worry about running snail pace..lots of us here do too! Did you see the slow jogging video? Out for a snail pace run is better than being on the couch so keep your head held high! We are all rooting for you!👏
I did see the video and I keep thinking about it when I run but the first time I tried the change in gait bothered my knee. I'm trying to just keep my feet moving 😊
Well done 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m going in to week 7 tomorrow and I just cannot believe how far I’ve come. I now know a lot of my doubts are due to mind over matter but I take it really steady and am just loving it 😊
I'm really bad with mental commitment, if something is difficult I just think to myself " nobody is making you do this, you are a rebel for stopping" but this programme is really making realise I can be uncomfortable and just keep going.
