Done all runs to date without breaks. But today's run I got into bother around 18 minutes and had to take a 30 second walk and I had an awful stictch. Got going again and around 22 minutes had to do same - but was ready to boke. Had floored a bottle of red wine last night and its my time of month. Do I chalk this up to today's circumstances or should I repeat this run before I go to w8 r1?

You can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, I advice you to repeat that run before going onto the 28 minute runs of week 8.

Cheers. I think I will to make sure it's under my belt. Needed to have drank more water today.

I think you've answered your own question. A bottle of wine the night before a run isn't a good idea. You need water to hydrate before and after your run. I personally would do this run again just so I could say I'd not let it beat me.

I'm sure you'll do it next time (minus the wine ;) ) x

I guess a bottle of red wouldn't have helped ! But yes, any runs you don't complete should be run again before going on to the next one (after a rest day of course)

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

This post expands on the theme. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

C25K is a training plan, not s tick box exercise, so if you have not fully completed any workout it is wise to do so, as mentioned in the guide to the plan.

There are many things that get in the way of runs. Some self inflicted others natural. For me I'd repeat the run just to properly cross it off.

Dont bash yourself up. Just do it again..this isnt a test. And we are all human...lots of things get in the way of running, as well as wine: miserable day, knee tweaks. give yourself a day off and get back on this run, put the past behind you!
