Slow but still on the recovery path.

First walk in ten days, not very far and not very fast but still got 3 blisters, being careful this time not making anything worse.

Good on you! That looks like it would be a beautiful route too, in the forest

Not a forest, just local park which is opposite my house, I don’t see it as beautiful but I think that is just familiarity breeds contempt, I live on a main road and park is directly opposite, just like a front garden,.

Ps it is a nice park, I’ve known it from the age of 5, just don’t like changes that have happened, hope they put the duck pond back.

Those wretched blisters! I hope you have something effective to help them heal. I’m sure it’s so frustrating wanting to get out and do more, but getting thwarted when you try :(

It is very frustrating but, can’t blame the blisters, my fault for being a prat, since I started this game(amputeism) (is that a word) have been told to slow down and be careful!! Doh as Homer would say.

Have coped with blisters for years, ( walked from Glasgow to Fort William) with a blister on the sole of my foot with little problem.

Compeed plasters always help ( have 3 on at the moment) just waiting for them to fall off, meanwhile they are acting like a second skin.

It’s so easy to say slow down and be careful, but so hard to do, though, isn’t it! I have different circumstances - chemo - but am still finding it difficult to accept the limitations I now have. I rail against it and resent the fact that I can’t do what I feel I ‘should’ be able to do, but am realising that by building up steadily I’ll maybe not get back to how I used to be, but at least will improve where I am.Sending you patient vibes!

I always read my daily digest from C25K and Bridge to 10K in the morning, especially to give me some motivation if I plan to run that morning ! You certainly did that and I am sending you Kudos ( I log my runs on Strava and occasionally get sent Kudos- I never really knew what the word meant so my favourite definition that I found which applies 100% to you is "Acclaim or praise for exceptional achievement"). You sound very determined to complete C25K and I hope "slow and steady" will get you there.
