With a bit of a weather warning coming on top of the early rain, I figured I may as well get less wet and run early today.. I know Beastie_MCCXIX likes to run earlier than me, so I'm getting with the program.
The rain, rain. Splashing down as buses breeze by, emptying puddles onto paths and drenching the unsuspecting. Fortunately I was suspecting so added a little sprint on both sections of the 10 min runs. Clearly I was apprehensive that it might affect my run, but truthfully it was effortless. Not something I'd have imagined 6 weeks ago.
Roll on the 25 minute run. I'm ready. Less rain would help though.
Here's the view just after halfway on the way back. I've a long row of daffodils for most of the run, and the apple blossoms are out. Note to self: wipe lens. Only done because this is during the last walk I'll do in couch to 5k!

Thats the spirit - keep it up!! well done for getting this far!!
I seemed to just breeze through week 6 altogether, I put it down to doing week 3 for a whole month , which seemed to give me a huge boost in the performance stakes - but that was after a comeback due to calf injury so felt like I needed that extra time building up. It seems to have paid off,. 🏃♀️😁
I did WK7R2 this morning and spent most of my run thinking about the difference between running fast or slow in the rain - would I be more wet if I ran fast? Just one of the many odd things I contemplate when I run, but it stops me thinking about time... or how wet I was getting! 😆🌧 Enjoy your WK6R3!
Hah, brilliant.. I can imagine. If we image rain as falling in drops per square foot, then time is the key, the more you're in it, the wetter you get. Of course there's a limit at which you're not going to feel any wetter though 😂#wetinsideandout
Top job, first time running in the rain during this program, not bad for 6 weeks! I love running in the morning, especially the times when the sun comes up, it gives me a uplifting feeling.
Honestly, it's good to have someone at the same point as you in the program. Thanks! I'm in a known wet city, so the fact that Monday was my first wet day is a miracle. I'm glad it wasn't any sooner, or it would've demotivated me a lot.
It was pretty windy out, but fortunately there was enough shelter on the route to reduce ht impact. It was worse during warmup. I totally get you on it though.
