Moving on or doing week 2 again??

I have just completed week 2 for the second week running, took 3 weeks before I succeeded on week 1. I did complete all the runs but was concerned that week 3 has a jump up to 3 minute runs and not sure I will succeed, should I give week 3 a go yet or repeat week 2 until I feel more confident. Also wondering about cycling on rest days to try and strengthen my muscles?? Advice please.

Absolutely, give W3 a go. I've been amazed at how manageable the runs are, considering that in W1 a min seemed ages! What's the worst that can happen if you can't do it, and if you never try you'll never know. The 2 x 90s runs you can already do, and it's only the same total amount of running time as you've been doing in W2. I found that in W2 I was running too quickly, and have definitely slowed down as the runs get longer. Try to find that running pace where, even if the run isn't exactly comfortable, you're not counting down every second! I can't really advise on the cycling - I've been walking or doing other exercises, but I guess cycling would be ok as long as you're not doing too much?

Well done.

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... , each run prepares you for the next one.

This post about mental approach may help put it into perspective. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.

Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.
