What’s after couch to 5k

Hi I’m only on week 5 but can’t seem to find out properly if there is a similar weekly program after couch to 5k which takes you from 5k to 10K. I’m looking to enter a 10K in august and really like the format of having weekly set runs to build up. I know there is a pinned post but that seems to take me to a new forum rather than an app or weekly program if that makes sense. Thanks

There are many 10k apps, mainly paid for, but there is no NHS follow on app.

That’s what I thought couldn’t see an nhs one. I don’t mind paying for an app but is there any particular ones recommended? I have the Nike running one which appears to free. Xx

I am not the person to ask. I was glad to dispense with apps after C25K and plan my own route forward.

Hi Jojamdunc , after a few post-C25K consolidation runs I used Ju-Ju's Magic Plan. This is over on the Bridge to 10k forum, but isn't an app.

I found it absolutely brilliant for getting me to 10k, as it was very flexible, and I'm hopeless at following plans of the "do this on this day in this way" variety.

I believe that the Nike Run Club app includes a free 10k plan with guided runs, but haven't tried it. Hopefully someone else who has can advise you about it!

The main thing, though, is to find something that suits you, so you can stick to it. Happy running!
