Not as far as I'm aware. Bluetooth should be able to pair your headphones directly with your phone.

Nope! I have the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Wireless Earbuds they are awesome. Much cheaper than the Apple versions in fact they’re on offer on Amazon right now. Never fall out and great battery life 👍
