Get aftershokz! Mini version should do. They donโ€™t go in your ear and you can hear traffic and have a full conversation with them. Theyโ€™re the only ones approved by England athletics. But theyโ€™re a bit pricey - IMO worth it.

Hubby can buy me them ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ get the mini ones. Iโ€™m very tall and still had to send the regular ones back and get mini.

Yes I agree I was using the earphones that come with my mobile and I had enough of wires so I got myself a pair from argos and they're great. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

The rubbery bit on earphones makes my ears itch and gives me exzema inside, which drives me crazy.

If anyone knows running earphones without that rubbery bit I would love to know.

You need to try the bone conductor ear phones, they sit outside the ear. They are quite expensive, but long lasting. Aftershokz are on offer on Amazon at the moment

I will check them out, thanks

Aftershokz don't go inside your ears. They're amazing! I didn't like the feel of the rubbery bits either.

Mpow from Amazon ยฃ20 or so, but they're fine for running.

I had these but they stopped working after a year. No good for hearing external noise unless you have only one in and the other is a pain to place

Just ordered some Kamtron ones from Amazon. Really cheap, so itโ€™s not a problem if theyโ€™re rubbish.

I tried them, kept cutting out, got fed up, went back to earbuds on string. They may get tangled but it works for me!

Oh, I am so with you on this. My son gave me his old air pods and I havenโ€™t looked back. Sometimes I have an issue with the Bluetooth disconnecting but holding thumbs that I have resolved that issue now. Happy running.

I use the beats PowerBeats 3. They have a little clip that holds them on whale your jogging along and stops them falling out.

Great

Happy trails

I tried some but they didnโ€™t seem to be able to cope with the music and the C25K commentary together. Any thoughts ?

The ones I borrowed from hubby were fine with music, ct5k app and also my running app..

Iโ€™ve been experimenting with mine for about a year now and Iโ€™ve found that

1. They cut out if you are live streaming so best to download whatever you are listening to before you run

2. I used to find the on/odd control but is heavier and would pull the wire round behind one ear and bang against my shoulder... I now wind the excess wire up round my ponytail twice and this sorts it and I can still reach the controls easily.

3. Iโ€™ve had dearer ones and cheaper ones and I am happy with either as long as they have the soft earbuds

( Iโ€™ve got about 4 spare pairs now from WISH)

4. And if I need to hear traffic I just tuck one ear piece down inside the neck of my tee shirt and just use the right ear one. But I donโ€™t have mine too loud anyway.( my Music Tech trained daughter nagged me about protecting my ears at Gigs etc)

The ones in using at the mo were ยฃ3.97 clearance ones and they are about 10 months old now.

I use Samsung Galaxy Buds, they are a revelation!.

I still worry that the left one would fall out, but as I always run wearing a headband this isn't really an issue. They have an ambient sound option, so I can still hear traffic (and birds!)๐Ÿ˜Š

I've been on a tech journey as well as a running journey. One of my earliest runs I had a temper tantrum as various things didn't work and the wires kept pulling out haha! I moved on to different earphones and now have some amazing Aftershokz. I really recommend them for sound quality, comfort and the safety of being able to hear people and traffic!

Better if you get Bone Conductor head phone. That way you can hear things around you.
