I’ve started c25k at least 5 times I get to week 6 , leave it and start again, I’ve put on even more weight which I intend to loose first week of January 21; I’ve had enough I’ve gone up to 13 stone, I feel to fat to attempt running. It used to take me 42 minutes to do a 5k park run. Now it seems a long way off. Shall I loose a stone before I start c25k

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
If you can walk briskly for thirty minutes then you can manage C25K.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Hi Twittime, why did you leave the program before? The advice that helped me the most here was to slow down. If I had tried to run as fast as the idea i had in my head initially i would have quit many times. Ive run and continue to run at a snail pace but im still here putting one foot in front of the other and adding miles to my runs. I too am carrying extra weight but decided not to stress myself too much and work on the running discipline first as once the positive routine is established here it will be easier to modify my diet. Ive already noticed that if i eat better in between runs then the runs are more enjoyable which to me might be bigger incentive then just simply wanting to lose weight😉🤯. You have every right to go out there and run, you will very soon notice that people either dont care or think it would be gret to be that girl/guy running. Dont give up and keep coming back to this forum, there is always someone to cheer you on!
Stick around Twittime, we'll get you to week 9 run 3 👍👍
Good morning, Maybe you should have a word with your gp before you start.? I'm sure they will encourage you to start but it wouldbe good to get some advice and support first . I'm sure they will support you all the way!
