I can't believe I'm writing that, but yes, I am actually done! It took me a little longer than a week (8 days total - with a 'practice run', as we say, along the way when a blister stopped me in my tracks) but I know that I am finished with the plan, and the plan has done its job.
I absolutely love running, I am officially addicted. I've spent the last 7 years or so desperately wishing I could run so I could have all the things that runners talk about - the 'high', time to yourself, stats and figures to pore over, fresh air, new places, amazing views, and above all, a decent level of general fitness.
I now have access to all of those things and it feels like the greatest Christmas present to myself ever.
I won't be going anywhere any time soon - a few consolidation runs, a 5K to get a baseline time, then slowly working on improving that time. That should keep me occupied!
Of course, huge thanks must go to everyone here who has spurred me on and offered advice - in addition to the programme itself, I will absolutely be recommending this forum along with it!
