Hi. What are the best apps for tracking pace and distance? I don’t mind paying a few £s but won’t need all the bells and whistles as I am still at 5k stage. Thanks.

Plenty of free ones: Nike Run Club, Strava, MapMyRun, Runkeeper to name but a few.

Welcome to the forum and well done

on your progress. There is a list of tracking apps that work with the C25k app in the guide to the plan, which is is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

I have a Garmin watch to record my runs to the Garmin Connect app. It also syncs with Strava, which other family members use so we can compare notes.I'm happy with this setup so haven't looked into any other apps.

Thanks. I’ll look into that.

For Android, I also use FitoTrack, which doesn't require any cloud services (other than to display maps).

I've just brought a second hand Garmin Vivoactive HR for not a lot of money on ebay. With heartrate and GPS which you can link to your phone on computer it more than covers my needs at the moment.
