I have pain in my knee, is it ok to run?

The pain is in my left kneecap and it’s not serious as i am able to run/sprint however the pain is their and i can feel it when I am running

In the paragraph preceding the advice on how to deal with injury

When anyone, however fit, starts a new physical training regime that they are not used to, they will suffer aches and minor pains initially. This is unavoidable but should you be in real pain, then your body is telling you to stop…...so do just that.
