First run tomorrow morning. Is there any specific stretching or anything I should do before I set off? I'm excited but nervous!

I don’t know your fitness levels but if they’re low like mine and most of the others who start C25k your going to love it and surprise yourself every week

Can you walk briskly for 20 minutes? If so you are ready. One piece of advice you will get fed up of reading is: go slowly. Slow jogging at the same speed as a brisk walk is fine to start with. You can always go a LITTLE faster for your last runs of each session. Don't try and do it the beginning. That is sure path to failure (although we don't like to use that word on this site!) Worse it could lead to injury.

The programme trains you to run 30 minutes non stop. 5K is a bonus. Most people graduate with about a 4K run I think. I did 3.4K. I have reached 3.7K since and am improving gradually.

Trust the programme, trust yourself more. Most importantly - enjoy it.

Thats so reassuring thank you so much. I am so aware of how fast I get out of breath so I'm hoping to build up day by day were I can do the brisk walk and not be afraid to push myself and build on that. But I will definitely take it slow and steadily build up. Everyone is so lovely and encouraging on here. Thank you so much

We all encourage each other. As for being lovely, Mrs R might beg to differ!

Good luck TheJiggler, jog nice and slowly and try to get your breathing into a good steady rhythm, nice deep breath in then purse your lips slightly as you exhale, that way you won’t get out of breath so much as your taking in sufficient oxygen to fuel your run....Best of Luck 👍
