But I went anyway - the paths were all slushy so not slippery, but my shoes and socks got soaked through :(

I wore a lightweight jacket over a long-sleeved top, with tracksuit trousers, woolly hat and gloves and was too hot by the end! And I saw only 1 other person jogging, as well as a few dog walkers and cyclists!

Oh the joys of squishy feet in trainers swissfish, get the newspaper in them , they'll be as good as new, no where near a radiator though please, it melts the glue!!

That running layering overheating it's a nightmare, we've got to remember we warm up so much when running!

You remind me that I should start looking for waterproof running shoes! Last Saturday I went running in the morning and I thought to cross through the grass. That was a big no, after just 5 meters my feet were soaked through. Made a quick beeline to the concrete again and had to run with soppy socks the whole time. No fun! So I think I'll be looking for waterproof running shoes soon, seen the weather won't be all nice and happy the coming months :)

And well done for going despite the weather! That's the true spirit!!
