A sh@tty week don’t won’t them to often

Three weeks since I last posted. I have been running over that period. I have had a right cr@ppy week this week, one of our dogs we had to help over the rainbow 🌈 bridge yesterday as she had kidney failure at 15 1/2 and then I heard an ex work colleague had passed only 5 or 6 years older than me so finally felt the need to run after 10 days of no enthusiasm for it. Wasn’t the fastest but just over 28 minutes pretty good in the circumstances. I hope all are ok out there and that others are getting out.

Helm108 she did not have a bad bone in her body and she completed at Crufts in the team event so proud of her and such a loss. The other 4 we have are a little subdued.

Papillon17 , dog-shaped holes are the worst. Well done for getting out there and running. :)

As you say, getting out is all that counts in the circumstances. It sounds as though you are managing upsetting circumstances as well as possible, bravo... and I am so sorry about your dog.

Thanks, it’s hard even if you know they don’t have long, being with us for 15 1/2 years you don’t want them to suffer and it’s right they do sort of tell us they have had enough.

We also have 5 , one of which is 15. The pain is unbearable at the loss of one - go run....and run......🦮

Our numbers have been dwindling, they are never here for long enough.

We lost two within 8 weeks - then adopted four !. Take care and keep running through the pain.

Thanks it been a hard couple of years with losses of family and of our dogs 🐕. Will keep on running just have to be in the mood I only use them as maintenance runs as it’s the only time I am able to listen to my music.

It's good to give yourself 'headspace' with the running. All the best.

That’s a tough period you describe. It sounds like you have some beautiful memories to keep close to your heart. Your run was brilliant by any measure. This is surely a moment where a run needs to be restorative, ‘for you’ and just what it needs to be.

So sorry to hear about your cr*p week. I know that in losing a pet you've lost a family member and it will hurt terribly. Just remember you gave her a wonderful life. We all know how good running is for our mental health so well done on getting out there 💙🌈 💙

Oh I'm sorry about your poor dog and also your other bad news. I'm glad you managed to find the energy to run, it was what you needed.I have a very poorly dog and am not feeling much like running at the moment. It will be there for us all to help us get through this bumpy time. 🤗
