Consolidation run No. 1

I am forcing myself to do this. I didn’t sleep well, ate late, but my running kit is ready (clean and folded from weekend laundry) so it would be rude not to run. It’s 9.20am I usually run in the hour of 6 or 7 to avoid people - particularly due to social distancing but also it’s a bit of self consciousness. Over the weeks though I have got less bothered and focus on my breathing. And on that note... deep inhale and off I go for consolidation run number one!

Consolidation run no 2 done. Dawn breaks late this time of year, so I was filling time after being ready to run awaiting sunrise. I can’t bring myself to run in the dark, yet. Still doing week 9run3 on the couch 2 5k app I might switch up the coaches for a touch of variety. The 5 minute warm up walk doesn’t warm me up much it’s the first 5 minute run, by 10 minutes in I have truly hit my stride and it’s breathing, posture I notice when my stomach is tight I have a better stride so I’ll do some crunches and other core work to tighten things on rest day. Next scheduled run day is Saturday here’s to happy rest that leads to a good run.

Sunday 28th November and I have done consolidation run 3. I missed running on Saturday, I didn’t sleep well and running when I haven’t slept makes me feel psychedelic (in a bad way). I cycled later on in the day with my friend so hopefully that was the conditioning!

Running on a Sunday is particularly nice there’s fewer cars and bustle. I changed the coach from Jo W to Michael Johnson I like his American accent. I am happy to keep doing 30 min runs and getter better at them, faster pace and better stride pattern.
