Long overdue post... stuck on holiday!

Hi there, haven’t been on here for a while so apologies for not reading and replying to the usual suspects.

We flew out on holiday on the 29th, then Boris announced the lockdown 3 days later 😱. Flights back have reduced and 2 flights we booked to come back were cancelled so we are now on the next available flight ... 5th Dec !!! So that will be over 5 weeks when we finally get home.

Fortunately I did bring my running gear so in the last 7 days ( first 3 days we were in quarantine in our hotel ) I have done 16km, a mixture of walking and running, mainly running but it’s so hot, we have to go out at 6.30 am.

Also we had the foresight to bring our work laptops out so we will do some work too. Fingers crossed our flight doesn’t get cancelled again 😢. Positive side is we have the sun, negative I will be coming home a lot heavier with the food!!

Hope everyone is well and keeping up with the running now it’s colder and darker. 👍🏻🏃‍♀️

AWOL in Barbados... could be worse I suppose. Just hope our flight doesn’t get cancelled again !

You could've picked worse places to get stranded - that sounds amazing!! 😀 Are you having to pay for weeks of extra accommodation though?

It could be worse ... yes but hopefully BA will cover some of it 😩

Yes, not a bad place to be stranded, although my waist line won’t forgive me when I get back 🙈. Have to keep of running as don’t want to lose momentum plus need to work off the food and booze !

I know lol. Have managed to book with another airline for a couple days earlier. Will keep both flights for now to keep my options open!
