Ok, I haven't been able to run for a while. It started with some pain in my knees and hip, after that I tried again and when I was about to run for the 3rd time I caught a cold, very tired for 3 days, a weird sensitivity under the armpits and a dry wheezy cough.
On Thursday I had the COVID test and on Saturday I got the results. Negative. When I received the text I was already thinking that this might have been shingles although the tiny pocking cluster of spots near my armpit are super tiny and quite scarce, they burn like hell and are quite annoying.
I called 111 and the dr went potty, go now now now to get acyclovir from the pharmacy (it was already really late)
Now the question is this: I'll get the acyclovir tomorrow morning. Can I please come back to running? I'm having dreams about it.

Shingles can be extremely unpleasant, and it is often a sign of getting run down. Personally I wouldn't run, but would advocate a gentle walk. Look after your hydration and sleep. The runs will be there for you when your body is ready. Speedy recovery 🤞🏻
Sounds like Shingles, I thought it was only older people who got that, no, I got Shingles when I was 48, the tennis player Andy Murray got Shingles when he was in his 20's, like you it was most noticeable under my arms, I went to the doctor, he gave me a prescription and the Shingles soon went away, he told me that I would never again get Shingles, 3 years ago when I was in the doctors surgery waiting to get my annual flu inoculation I noticed a poster on the wall for people my age to get a inoculation for Shingles, I made an appointment and got a jag, so I have been double protected and hopefully will never get Shingles again, I hope your Shingles will go away soon.
I’m so sorry you haven’t been well and it certainly sounds like you are being treated for shingles. It’s very painful and it’s best that you look after your body while you recover. Drink plenty of fluids and if you feel up to it, get some fresh air on a gentle walk. Rest and eat well. Running can wait until you recover. Get well soon 🤞
