As in personal farthest, personal distance or personal longest? :-).
Just went out to run and felt that 6 to 7 km would be good this morning but felt so comfortable at 5K (34minutes) that instead of turning left for the office I threw in another right, up a hill and just kept on going. Most pleased about the pace consistency and the fact that hills are no way near as daunting or slowing as they were even a couple of weeks back.
The last K I was in the company of Messr's Plant and Page as we wound on down the road, which made me smile. Front of the thighs starting to ache for the last 10minutes or so but a stretch and a ice cold to hot to ice cold shower and all is good now.
Very, very chuffed with my progress.

Thanks for your input and care. I hear you and have read your advice on this. I also recommend others to read it. Also given the reactive arthritis issues I have going on I assure you that I am super careful and if I push at all, I listen hard to what my body is telling me and back off if I feel anything that gives cause for concern. I know that won't guarantee that I won't get an injury, but it should help. I have been avoiding uneven surfaces because I have learnt that they can lead to twists and strains that my body doesn't cope well with.
In short please keep giving the advice because we all need it, and should try to heed it. I took a calculated risk this AM because A I felt I had it in me, and B because I was enjoying myself. It could have been a mistake but hopefully not.
