Well I am back, managed to get 2 injuries in quick succession, one running one not, I have now gone around 6 months and the time is now right to get back on the treadmill. I have had one trial run just to see how bad I have got and think I will be going from week 4.

So all you newbies, yes it is difficult at times, you wonder at times is it all worth it, I have had a massive set back, but you just start again, don't give up, don't let negativity control you, you will get set backs, you will wonder if it is all worth it. Graduation is great, but don't let that be the end be strong, be determined but be prepared for your setbacks and re focus on why you started this in the first place.

This isn't easy you accept the bad, learn from it and move on through it.

I was disheartened by my injuries and undoing all the good work I have done, but now can't wait to get to Graduation part 2.

Good post! I too sustained an injury (nasty calf muscle rupture whilst on Parkrun) that put me out for months and months but I too "got back on my horse" (it's much easier than running 😁) when the time was right and confidence had returned. I agree with the encouraging words you write and wish you nothing but good luck on your journey back. Steady does it!
