Hitting a wall at week 7

I feel like I've hit a bit of a wall. Just finished the last run of week 7 but I'm disappointed as on the last two runs I had to stop after about 12 minutes and walk for a bit. My legs felt like lead and I couldn't go on without a break. However the first run felt like a breeze ! I think i will re do week 7 again as I don't want to move to week 8 until I've done all three 25 minute runs non stop. Has anyone else experienced this?

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

If you cannot finish a run, you are probably going too fast.

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thanks thats really helpful as I am pretty bad at drinking my 2.5l a day. Going to make a real effort to drink more water from now on !
