W6R2 DONE! But ...

So I had work at 6am until 10am, so I’ve been up since 5am ... when I came home, I knew that I had to go running at some point. I hadn’t eaten anything since 7pm last night. I got my running gear on and set off. I completed the run, just about ! But, since week 3 I’ve been suffering really badly with calf pains. They are much more painful when I walk than when i run. I been stretching them, slowing down my pace, massaging the area with cool freeze but nothing. It isn’t the back of my calf it’s the inner side and the front. Unfortunately i think it might be a shin splint 😔

Hi Georgia, how u doing? Well done for going out after ur early work stint! Are ur calves / shins still suffering? Hope you've managed to get some help. You've been stretching so that should help. Can't offer any advice, at same stage as yourself and wouldn't know where to start diagnosing? Don't injure yourself....👍👍🙋

I’ve just taken a week off running. Thought it would do my leg some good and it has. Also had a very busy week at work so I’m back on it tomorrow 👍🏼

Glad to hear you're back to full running health...the decision to take a week off was a good one. Take it easy, sounds like you've got a demanding job! All the best.👍🙋
