I put this off until today, I was going to run Friday but wasn’t feeling great, still felt under the weather today but better than yesterday.
Off I went with enthusiasm, didn’t go out early as had office desks to assemble this morning when they arrived ... if I see another flat pack box I will promise to myself not to move again !
Anyhow, with pooch and hubby in tow we ran around a park we haven’t been to before, still getting used to the new area. It was full of dogs so I was happy that hubby had control of Luna 🐕 so I could concentrate on myself ( I know, very selfish of me 😂) After 5 mins I was distracted by the need to pee 🙈. Continued for 10 mins then found a bush! Felt so much better, however, I just didn’t have the energy to complete 30 mins. Only managed 20 mins but I’m happy with that, Strava put me at 7.89 - always try to get under 8 😃
I’m going to rest for a couple of days and then come back with more energy and hit the 30 mins again.
Happy running to all my fellow graduates 🎓 🏃♀️ and a good weekend.

The man thing Is you got out there and ran! So well done you! I had a 20 min run for the first time last week ☹️ and I felt like a fraud walking back home until I just told myself to get over it. I just wasn’t feeling it that day and actually I’m surprised that it’s only happened to me once! Keep going and good luck with the next one 😀
I’m seriously thinking of dropping to 20 mins three times a week until the spring. If I feel I can go further on the day I can. I’m feeling less excited now seems since graduation I have lost my mojo ! It’s a nice day today so gonna get out now and just aim for 20 mins and see how I feel x
Thanks CC, yes a bit more mileage in the ole legs! Still getting used to the new area also, went to the local park, where pre Covid the park runs are held. Thought I would try the route, lots of pooches about and the terrain was bumpy ( nearly went over my ankle 3 times 🙈).
Yes, busy busy! Not time to rest unfortunately assembled more wardrobes today and can honestly say I’m sick of putting furniture together.
Looking forward to a holiday at the end of the month, not had significant time off work since Xmas and my body is crying out for a rest now.
Oh bless you, you’re non-stop. Your fitness isn’t going anywhere in a hurry so don’t let gremlins beat you up about getting out the door every other day!
I like what Burkey said about channelling her energy and going when her body says it wants to! Though I know thats difficult around a work/flat-pack furniture schedule.
I love the idea of new running terrain and park runs sound fab but eeek, yes mind those ankles!
