I want budget ideas that will keep me warm and dry as I hate autumn winter, makes my back and hips worse due to the damp and cold. I am determined not to stop running though, just need right gear.

What to wear to run now weather has changed?
There's a similar thread here: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
And here's the video I found:
I got a lightweight shower proof jacket from primark £8!! 😮😮 Kept the wind out today and light enough to not get clammy. Zip up so took it off as I ran at 3k and tied round my waist.
Thanks, I'm going to check out decathalon as seem reasonable priced but will try pop in to Primark too x
Decathalon Kalenji long sleeve running top was my go to running top through our Melbourne winter. It’s get pretty cold here like the UK and it was perfect for dark chilly winter mornings. The kalenji rain jacket I liked less as although it kept me dry and wasn’t too hot. It was so noisy so now I run in a Nike one on rainy days which doesn’t rustle like a crisp packet. I run without music so the noise level of the jacket might not be a problem for you 👍🏻
Dont ever wear cotton as that soaks up the sweat. In winter especially that can be dangerous if you have to stop and your body temp drops: possible hypothermia. A friend described cotton as a death trap for runners and hikers.
Most of my gear is from Lidl when they get it in. I wear layers depending on the temp. One layer in summer then increase to 2 or 3. Once you get going you soon warmup.
In 2 years only worn a waterproof twice. Been lucky with the weather and also being able to choose when to run.
Stay safe.😎
