Following R1 two days ago I ached and felt as tired as a very tired thing. I said to the lovely wife yesterday lunchtime that I was going to take an extra rest day on Sunday.
I then spent from 19:30 to 20:30 yesterday evening in the psychological war fair unit they call a MRI scanner, having a complete spine and pelvis scan to monitor my Reactive Arthritis. To wards the end of the scan I could not stop thinking: I need to run, I need to run.
Woke up this AM and thought yep, aches have dulled right down go for it. I took a different route to what has become my usual start point of the last couple of weeks, and enjoyed seeing the bunnies and a big flock of tiny birds that I could identify.
The run was OK, I got round, a little slower than W8R1, but not much: 4,400m @ 6'30" in 28'36" and as I look down the page on Samsung Health I can see why I was slower. Started out too fast didn't I? First K was 5'45", then 6'25", 6'41". 6'48" and finishing at a pace of 7'19"! So let that be a lesson to all those who haven't got it yet, DON'T start too fast!
Oh and the big news of the day, I am now no longer classified as OBESE, just over weight. BMI below 30, 14Kg lost since the start of C25K HURRAH!!!
Oh (no 2) the laces thing, last three runs my laces have had just the right tension with only one go at tying each foot, LOL
