So, I think I posted previously that I'd gotten some tendonitis in my left achilles, and was benched from running for a while. Well, I've been using cycling as cross-training until I could run again, and yesterday on a lovely bike ride around a lake I managed to fall off my bike, breaking my right foot. Have to wait a week to find out how serious it is, but I'm going to be in a cast for at least 6 weeks, and can't imagine I'll be right back to running again once that's done... Though I still plan to resume the programme (probably starting again at week 1) once I can.
Not sure if there's a moral to this story, besides sometimes you're unlucky - and be careful, I guess. So long for now, C25K. Hope I'll be able to return at some point.

I hear your pain. I graduated early July and had always suffered from heel pains after running to a point of hobbling everywhere. I decided at the end of July that I’ll have a rest from running so my feet can rest... well I still haven’t ran and been diagnosed with heel spurs so now I’m having shock wave therapy and doing tons of foot strengthening exercises. Can’t see myself coming back for at least another 2 months 🙄😩😩
But your post reminded me that I’m not on my own and when I go back to running... it’ll be from W1.
It's really demotivating, but I'm trying to remind myself that actual athletes (including my brother who's a football player) get injuries all the time, and they do usually manage to get back to their sports! We just have to be patient and remember how motivated we once felt once we are able to pick it up again.
