One more run and then its the final week - Bring it on . 8 weeks ago i couldn't complete week 1 without gasping for air and i can now run comfortably for 28 min , ( amazing ) I'm still a negative runner ..... as before every single run i don't actually believe i can do it , its really strange . i'm hoping after finishing the programme this will change after a few consolidation runs , but if you're having the same doubts before you run just get out and do it .

Well done.

Perhaps this post about mental approach may help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Great going, well done!

It's an interesting point you make about the lack of pre-run self-belief that it's actually doable.

That shift from "Is this even possible?" — especially when thinking back to W1 (possibly the toughest week!) — to "'I've put in the work and I CAN do this" has been a subtle and gradual shift from around W7 onwards. with any self-doubt and uncertainty lessening noticeably. It still lingers a little in the background but the volume is much reduced.

And you're right, the only answer to any strands of doubt is as you say, "Just get out and do it!" :)
