It’s been a while Pap17 back

I haven’t felt like running in the excessive heat, then the rain, then had jury service and a weeks leave at the coast. Plenty of BBQs, loads of alcohol and lots of beach walks. So after 16 days of not running I got out there early before breakfast as was starting work late and ran my usual route. Found the satellites in the right place as my half mile markers were in the usual place. Found the run exceptionally breezy on all sides of the route but got it done. Another 5k under the belt in 28.35 mins not as fast as I had been achieving but pretty happy with the result. I hope you are all healthy and managing to run and hopefully a quick recovery for those on the IC.

Love your posts...Can’t believe you’ve done all these 5k’s... I remember seeing you had run around 82 but looks way more now!

It’s amazing as you’ve got it down to a fine art being well under 30 mins.

Suppose I can see myself settling for 5k’s, I only graduated recently and with the 3 consolidation runs I manage 5k’s

Your my challenge, I love this idea but I have a long way to go.

Well done and thank you so much, this is very inspiring😊

Thanks Chrissie589. I have bad runs but even then I enjoy my music when running I have 95 results now for running the distance of 5k. Of course some are part of a longer distance but not many as I concentrate mostly on running 3.2 miles to ensure I have done my 5k. I found it’s just being consistent and running regularly. I hope the posts give encouragement to those that think they are not runners. I was 58 when I started this although I run as part of my agility with my dog which I have been doing for 9 years. I still couldn’t run consistently this has made such a difference and is compensating for getting older. Stick at it you will improve your times and distance over time.
