Week 2 done! Been doing a bit extra each run as felt I still had a bit more juice in the tank! Today I managed 5.11km in 39 mins including the walks etc finding I didn’t need as long a walk in between! Still going slow and steady! I’m not a first time runner just trying to build back up to being able to do 5km non stop but I’m very chuffed! On to week 3 👌🏻

OMG that's an excellent time! I've been trying this for a year and am at week 5 run 3 now and it takes me about 50 minutes to complete a 5k still. Well done!

Thanks, I am definitely taking it a run at a time! I’m sure as the runs get longer I will feel the strain! If I need to repeat weeks that’s what I’ll do! Well done you for getting out there and doing it that really is the main thing!

Well done.

As a former runner you know how important it is to build up gradually and C25k can form a good basis for doing that, but it is crucial to keep the increases gradual.

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.

Take care.

Definitely, I am not pushing my limits just had a bit more in me still stopping for my walks in between and going gradually! I’m very much enjoying be back at it do not want to get any injuries that will set me back appreciate this thanks
