W3R2 complete in the wind and rain!!!

Sanjeev where are you?? Don't abandon me in my hour of need!!!

Today's run complete but some issues on the tech front 🤨

I realised my warm up walk was going on quite long so I checked my phone to find I'd hit pause accidentally. No Sanjeev telling me to get ready to run so instead of re-starting I just continued which means my stats are all out of sync with my phone but hey ho!!

So today's run was interesting.

I woke at 6am as normal, saw the rain and promptly went back to sleep 😁😁😁😴😴

Woke at 9.30, had a black coffee and 3 Brazil nuts and mooched about for a bit. I decided not to take the dogs on this run due to the weather and risk of hazard to myself, eg tripping over a dog in the rain and wind. They kept looking at me with their big sad brown eyes and George ran off with one of my trainers as much to say, don't do this to us Mum!!! Not good.

So the run...

I'm sweating already on the warm up walk due to having a rain Mac on and it's sticking to me like the proverbial. Then Sanjeev abandoned me, my fault entirely. Settled into the first run and luckily had the wind and rain behind me.

Got into the first of the 3 minute runs and got a bit confused when Sanjeev interrupted to give me tips and I thought he was going to tell me the 3 minutes was up so I'd started slowing down to a walk. Had to pick it up again.

Due to the extra walking I knew I was now facing the final 3 minutes on an uphill with the wind and rain in my face! Ffs!! Usually I'm on my cool down walk by this stage.

But I'm so pissed off at Sanjeev at this stage that I pounded up that hill and managed to put some extra welly into the final minute too! 😁😁😁

I'm not sure who this new woman is who goes out running in all weathers but I'm starting to like her. She's cool and I have a new found respect for her!

To finish - something I heard on the Netflix series called [un]well that I'm watching and so relevant to all this

"I was able to see that the condition of my body was a reflection of my beliefs about myself"

This really hit home.

Change your beliefs about yourself and you WILL change your body.

I can and I will ❤️

Lots of love

Well done for getting it done despite the weather and tech issues! As you might be able to see from my name, I adore running in the rain - I find it cooling and refreshing, as well as kind of fun to just embrace getting soaking wet knowing that I'm soon going home to shower and get warm again :) Have considered getting some kind of cap so it doesn't get in my eyes as much, though 😅

I am totally with you on running in the rain. Soooo much better than trying to do it in the heat.

I actually have a secret thing for extreme weather. It makes me feel alive! 😁😁😁

That quote is so wonderfully profound. And true.

Honestly when I heard that it was like all the lights came on at the same time. Talk about a lightbulb moment.
