I skipped my run yesterday due to the heat and I felt miserable all day... missing my dose of endorphins! This morning’s run was a real struggle because I pushed myself to keep a steady pace but I’m so pleased now my pace has improved a lot.
In the early weeks I used to run in the woods and assumed my pace was very slow due to being unfit. I have been testing different surfaces and I now know that uneven ground makes me slower but I’m glad I did run on uneven forest ground to start as I believe it has made my legs stronger.
I’m noticing improvement at every run. I mainly still run at peak but that doesn’t bother me. I know it will get better and I recover very quickly. I can’t believe I’ve come this far!
