CR 8 ....hot hot hot!

I was up nice and early this morning. I thought I’d beat the heat. I was just sitting on the stairs all ready to tie my laces when I heard a huge bang like the house had exploded...thunder lightning and then the biggest downpour I’ve seen for a long while. It was just like someone had turned the taps on full 😱

I decided to use the time well and had breakfast and a cup of tea 👍 An hour later I leave for my run but gosh it was so hot and humid. My glasses kept steaming up making running through trees a bit trickier than normal. I made it to 31 minutes and called it a day. I only ran 3.2km but at least I got out there and ran.

Good luck to anyone else running in the sweltering South East 🥵🥵🥵

The south east of England is having a tropical heatwave, that is defined when the minimum temperature does not fall below 21C/70F and the maximum temperature is +30C for more than 3 days, that thunderclap you heard must have been very near to where you live, glad it wasn't your house the lightning struck, probably a tree nearby.

That was a good run you had, after all that rain there would be a few puddles to avoid and with all the high humidity as well it would be quite uncomfortable for running, well done for the effort, the heatwave is to end at the weekend but before that expect more severe thunderstorms.

It’s 32 here already and we’re promised 37 this afternoon. I’ve just booked a swimming session at the gym!

Am jealous.

I can't wait for my local pool to open again.

Pheweee, that is HOT, where I am in Central Scotland its 17C and cloudy but if the sun comes out it will go higher in the afternoon to 24C, I hope you enjoy your swimming session at the gym.

I know it was ridiculous this morning.

I was out at 6.30 and it was already 22 degrees, but the humidity was crazy🤪🤪🤪

I could feel myself getting slower and slower each km and in the end stopped at 3.8k.

Arrived back home and it literally started raining.

It hasn't got rid of the heat or humidity though

At least we made it out there though.👍

25 degrees at 7am this morning. Luckily this isn't a run day!

You got out there so huge pat on the back! 👍

You did well to keep going for 31 minutes
