Oh my goodness! I’m sure some of you will remember my breathing, heavy leg terrible run on Friday after a theme park break.
Today’s run was all in the prep. I knew I’d done it to myself on Friday. All Friday and Saturday I was nailing the water ‘hydrate today for tomorrow’s run’ was resounding round my head for 2 days and nothing less than 3 litres would do. I only did enough steps to beat my goal, so around 10,000 each day. I made sure my sleep target was back up to around 95% and off I went this morning, bouncing out of bed at 6.30am.
The difference was unbelievable! It was my 2 8 minute runs. I had an unrelenting head wind, and my elevation is always 68 foot because we live in a hilly area. It was hard work! But I even managed to speed up on the last incline (to try and get it over with!) and on the last minute I pushed nearly to my limits.
The moral of this story (if you got to the end) is to drink water, sleep and drink some more water 😁
