It was way too hot to run yesterday, even at 6am, this morning wasn't much cooler but I didn't want to miss a run.
I headed down stairs, put the running gear on and jumped on the treadmill and set off for a 30 minute joffle. A nice slow joffle at that.
At some point in that 30 minutes I decided that today was going to be a 33 minute run, so I plodded on.
The end of the running part of the podcast came, and went, and on I plodded, I kept glancing at the clock on the treadmill to ensure I didn't go over the 10% and then it was 35 minutes, I must have dozed off or something because I quite literally lost 3 minutes!
Thing is, I could have just carried on, yes I was a sweating mess but my heartrate was stable and in the same range as my 30 minute runs, my legs were good and I was enjoying myself.
But I forced myself to slow to a brisk walk, I walked for 5 minutes and then stopped.
I'm going to be switching my Friday runs to Saturday runs, unless I know I have too much to do on the Saturday, so I can continue to push the time out again.
