Hi everyone,

I’ve had 10 days off as I’ve been camping and want to get back to it.

Before I had this time off I had done several weeks of consolidation 5k runs or 30 minute runs whatever I felt at the time and was having no problems.

I know it will be hot tomorrow. Can’t get out until the earliest of 8.30am. What do you suggest run wise? I was thinking aim for 20 minutes and see how it goes?

I would go for what feels comfortable... I wouldn’t set a time in your head... I would set off and see how you feel..

I’ve read on here you lose very little, if any fitness levels in first 2 weeks off your legs but you don’t want to risk injury...

oh and I’m far from expert - just my thoughts

If it’s hot - slow and as you say shorter run 👏👏

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
