To many 5ks?

I’m wondering now is four 5ks a week too many 1 every other day, or should I do a couple of shorter runs. The last couple of 5ks have been tough. Am I doing to many? Having completed the course. I’m just doing 5ks every week. Should I vary each week

I think you should vary it, I only run twice a week, a 5K on a Saturday and up to recently several longer runs, including ten miles on a Wednesday

You sound to me that you are getting a little bored running 4/5Ks every other day, cut it down to 3 runs a week, say 2/5Ks or a 3K with a 3rd longer run, not sure if you wish to run a 10K.

I’m 64 now so not thinking at moment of doing longer runs just want to get healthier for the future. Thanks again

Bridge to 10k. Go on the other forum and look for the magic plan in the pinned posts. 3 runs a week is enough for now.

I think you should do what you enjoy doing and if the 5ks are getting tough then mixing it up will provide variety.

There are no rules (apart from the 10% rule) so have some fun and remember if a run is getting tough, you can always slow down.

Thanks I might try shorter but try and get a little faster once a week
