Unexpected day off work today (but unexpectedly called in later). Treated myself to an early trot.

I thought a run down by the sea would be nice and I was not disappointed.

A pod of dolphins (I think) in North Bay gave those up and out a silly o'clock a fantastic show!

Everybody was pointing, smiling and laughing. Car, vans, bikes, trucks pulling over to watch.

Ran to Sealife Ctr and back through Open Air Theatre, where I waved to cheering fans😉 and saw a Heron looking for breakfast.

When I turned my tracker off I found I had run at 0.3 mph above my average speed and half a mile more than intended.

What a great way to start the day.

What a lovely sight to have seen.

I've been on Marine Drive quite a bit but usually for a walk to the sea life and back again and never been lucky enough to see dolphins.

Well done for being quicker and going further than you expected.

It is one of my regular routes but it's the first time I have seen them.

Now I know it is possible I will keep an eye out for them 😉
